Microsoft Service Issue Impacting OSU Logins and Microsoft 365

We are aware of a Microsoft service issue currently impacting OSU logins and Microsoft 365 services.

At this time, users may experience intermittent issues signing in with their OSU credentials and accessing Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive (particularly web-based versions).

Our team is actively monitoring Microsoft’s updates and will share additional information as it becomes available. Please see Microsoft's status page for more information: https://status.cloud.microsoft/.

CORE Reporting Reporting operational issue 2025-10-28 - Jaspersoft and GRS impacted

At 7:41 AM PDT on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, we became aware of an issue affecting Finance Operating Ledger data.

These systems have Operating Ledger data that has not been refreshed today and so do not include activity from yesterday:

  • Grant Reporting System (GRS)
  • Jaspersoft
  • AMP Historical Operating Ledger reporting

Our UIT Data Team is actively working to resolve this issue. We will post updates within 3 hours or sooner if anything changes.

CORE Reporting Reporting operational issue 2025-10-10

At 12:54 PM PDT on Friday, October 10, 2025 we became aware of an issue affecting some CORE reports.

Also, the OnBase (Nolij) document viewer that is available in CORE is unavailable. After clicking on the red "N" logo to view a document, documents may not return as expected and an error page is displayed.

Our UIT Data Team is responding to this incident and will post updates here as recovery progresses.

Administrative Systems/Databases AWA Outage

We are aware of an outage of AWA (Automic Workflow Automation). While this is not an application that most people interact with directly, an outage may have downstream impacts on other systems. We will provide updates here.

Banner Banner Maintenance - Saturday September 13th, 5 am - 5 pm

University Information and Technology will be applying necessary quarterly upgrades to Banner on Saturday, September 13, between 5 am and 5 pm. Banner and many related administrative OSU systems will be unavailable or have limited functionality during this window. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this maintenance, please contact the Service Desk at beav.es/help. The list of affected services includes: • Academic Catalog (CAT) • AWA • Banner • Banner Self-Service (Online Services) • Banner Workflow • BeaverHub • Benny Hire • Benny Buy • Canvas (Some administrative functions not available) • Clean Address • Curriculum Inventory Management (CIM) • Degree Works (MyDegrees) • EvalS • FormFusion • MyOregonState (some links will be unavailable) • OSU Mobile (some data will be unavailable) • Schedule of Classes (New Scheduler) • TouchNet (will accept payments, however, payments will not be posted until Banner returns to service) • Applications that use API calls to obtain data from Banner will be unable to retrieve data during maintenance.

Box Box Issue

Box is experiencing an issue that may cause users to experience errors or long load times using Box services. They are currently investigating the issue.

OSU Websites Some website redirects not working

We are aware of multiple websites having issues, including academicaffairs.oregonstate.edu, studentaffairs.oregonstate.edu, admissions.oregonstate.edu, beav.es/help, and mytime.oregonstate.edu. This issue is currently being investigated.

Business Intelligence Some users are experiencing slow load times accessing dashboards in the Data Platform

We are investigating an issue affecting the performance of dashboards hosted within the Microsoft Data Platform.

Office 365 Some users do not have correct Microsoft 365 licensing

We are aware of an issue where some users do not have correct Microsoft 365 licensing. The issue has been identified and a fix is in progress.
