CORE ReportingCORE and GRS OnBase (Nolij) document viewer operational issue - September 5, 2023
At 1:51 PM PDT, we became aware of an issue with the OnBase (Nolij) document viewer that is available in CORE and the Grant Reporting System (GRS). After clicking on the red "N" logo to view a document, documents may not return as expected and an error page is displayed; or documents may return after a long wait.
We are working with our partners in UIT to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.
BannerInterruption to Banner, other administrative systems - Saturday, September 2
University Information and Technology will be applying necessary quarterly upgrades to Banner on Saturday, September 2, between midnight and 5pm. Banner and many related administrative OSU systems will be unavailable or have limited functionality during this window.
What systems are affected?
Administrative systems such as Banner, Online Services, AWA, and Degree Works may be affected and access to these systems will be interrupted during the maintenance window. The list of affected services includes:
• Academic Catalog (CAT)
• Banner Self-Service (Online Services)
• Banner Workflow
• BeaverHub (some links will be unavailable)
• Benny Hire
• Benny Buy
• Canvas (Some administrative functions not available)
• Clean Address
• Curriculum Inventory Management (CIM)
• Degree Works (MyDegrees)
• HR Service Delivery
• MyOregonState (some links will be unavailable)
• OSU Mobile (some data will be unavailable)
• Schedule of Classes (New Scheduler)
• TouchNet (will accept payments, however, payments will not be posted until Banner returns to service)
• Applications that use API calls to obtain data from Banner will be unable to retrieve data during maintenance.
Around 6:55am we became aware that the OSU wired and wireless networks around the Corvallis campus are down. The phone and internet systems on campus are currently unavailable. We have identified the issue and are investigating how to resolve it.
Edit: We have identified the issue and are working to bring the network and services back online as soon as possible.
MyDegrees will be unavailable August 24-26 for important upgrades
We will be performing a planned upgrade to MyDegrees from Thursday, August 24 at 5:30pm, until Saturday, August 26. MyDegrees, including audits, notes and the planner, will be unavailable during this time. DUO authentication issues with Microsoft and Office365
Around 8.30am this morning, we became aware of an issue with DUO that is preventing some users from being able to authenticate to Microsoft and Office365 services. DUO is aware and is working to resolve the issue.
Update: DUO has identified the root cause of the issue causing authentication errors and is working toward a resolution.
Business IntelligenceTableau Server in a degraded state
Tableau Server (analytics.oregonstate.edu) is currently unable to refresh some extracts. At this time the server is up and is displaying information from the last time in which its sources were refreshed (time frame is dependent on the resource in question). The server manager is working on a solution. Check back here for regular updates.

We became aware of a potential MyDegrees outage around 8:30am. Several users reported that they were unable to access the application. We are currently investigating this issue and will continue to update the community.
We received a notice this morning from our Tableau Server vendor that they are experiencing technical issues and the OSU Tableau Server is unavailable. They do not have an ETA for recovery, but are working to restore service as soon as possible.
The impacts of this outage are:
CORE dashboards that use Tableau are unavailable (UFM dashboards, ESS Dashboards, and miscellaneous Tableau dashboards in CORE)
Analysts will not be able to use data sets on the Tableau Server or publish to the Tableau Server
Box is investigating an issue the Box Web Application, Box Drive, and Box Sync. Users may see errors or delayed response times when logging in or attempting to access items in Box. We will provide additional information as it becomes available.
